I'll be your guide through AHAbids.com. It is my goal to enhance your online auction experience. You will find me throughout the website offering help and instructions. I want to make sure your time on AHAbids is safe and enjoyable. Below you will see all the differant icons from our site and what they mean.
 Penny Auctions:
Penny auctions are auctions where the price of an item is increased by a pre-set amount, usually a penny, every time a bid is placed. You win by being the last person to place a bid before time runs out. To get started you first have to register with our site and purchase bids. Once you have your bids you can start bidding on any auctions you choose.
 Reveal Auctions: Reveal auctions work differently than penny auctions in the fact that they start at or near retail price of the listed item. Every bid placed on a reveal auction decreases the price of the item. You can only see the price of the item by placing a bid. You then have the option of buying the item for the amount shown. You can only purchase the item while the price is revealed. The price will become hidden once another user places a bid, you will then have to bid again to reveal the price. The price of the item will continue to decrease with each bid until a user decides to purchase the item.
 Rookie Auctions:
Both Penny auctions and Reveal auctions can be set up as a Rookie auction. These auctions are only open to users who have not won. They are typically smaller items and are used to help users learn how the site works.
 Buy it Now:
Certain Auctions will have a “Buy it Now” option offered to the users who placed bids on an item but did not win. The Buy it Now option can be exercised within two hours from the end of the Auction. Users who placed Bids on an Auction they did not win may use the total dollar amount of the Bids placed on that item towards the retail purchase price of the item listed at the time of the auction. If a user does not exercise this option within the two hour time restriction any Bids placed on the item become nonrefundable. No “free” bids, special offers or promotional Bids may be used toward the purchase price of the item when using the Buy it Now option.
 Daily Maximum:
This is the maximum amount of auctions you are allowed to win in a given day. This number will count down as you win auctions.
.png) Weekly Maximum:
This is the maximum amount of auctions you are allowed to win every week (7 days). This number will count down as you win auctions.
 Purchased Bids:
These are the bids you have paid for and are the only bids that are usable with "Buy it Now" auctions. If you decide to close your account you will be fully reimbursed for all unused purchased bids.
 Voucher Bids:
These are all the free, bonus or promotional bids you can receive while on AHAbids. These bids can be used for any auction but do not count towards "Buy it Now" credits. If you decide to close your account you will not recieve any reimbursement for unused voucher bids.
Otto Bidder:
Otto bids can be used on Penny Auctions. You set the minimum price you want the auction to reach before your bids are used, the maximum price you are willing to spend and how many bids you want Otto to be able to place. Then when the timer reaches 15 seconds or less (randomized) if you are not the current bidder Otto will place a bid for you. Otto will continue to place bids until you win, run out of bids, the auction passes your price maximum or you turn Otto Bidder off.
Timer:
Once a Penny Auction timer reaches 15 seconds or less all bids made will reset the timer to 15 seconds. The auction will continue until the timer reaches 0.
