Once you have been approved as a registered user with AHAbids you will be required to choose a username. This username will be displayed throughout AHAbids and therefore provided to the public. If you are the winner of an auction AHAbids will display the number of bids and dollar value of those bids when the auction ends. Unless you associate your username with your personal information other users will not be able to personally identify you or your activities on AHAbids.

 

When you visit AHAbids from a public or shared computer, certain information about you, such as your username may be visible to others who may use that computer after your use. It is your responsibility to ensure private information is removed from the public or shared computer should you choose to use one while visiting AHAbids.

AHAbids uses so-called “cookies” which are files that are stored on your computer that can be retrieved to assist in customizing your experience with the online service offered by AHAbids. The information saved supports the functionality of the website, for example, by keeping track of your visual preferences or controlling the frequency of “pop-up” windows.  You are free to prevent cookies from being saved on your hard drive by adjusting the corresponding setting in your browser. However, AHAbids would like to point out that turning off these settings may result in reduced functionality.

 

Your AHAbids account and profile and the information contained therein are password protected. Please note you are not permitted to provide your password to anyone else. AHAbids will never ask for your password via email or over the phone. Please remember to log out of your account and to close your internet browser window when you leave the AHAbids website especially if you are using a computer in a public location or a computer that is shared. AHAbids assumes no liability for the abuse of login data and passwords used. AHAbids treats personal data as an asset that must be highly protected. AHAbids uses security measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access and disclosure. However, despite AHAbids best efforts to protect your privacy, AHAbids can not promise that your personal information or private communications will always remain private. AHAbids cannot ensure the security of the information you transmit to us, and so, AHAbids urges you to take every precaution to protect your personal data and information when you are on the internet or the AHAbids website. Some suggestions to accomplish this are; changing your password often, using a combination of letters and numbers for your password and making sure you use a secure browser.

 

AHAbids assures you that we will use your email address with your express consent only for the purposes stated in the Terms of Use Agreement. AHAbids will not rent or sell your email address to third parties and we will prevent your email address from being recorded by “web crawlers” or “web spiders” to the best of our ability. If you believe that your email address has been recorded in this way, please email us at support@ahabids.com immediately.

 

AHAbids is sensitive to the need to protect the privacy of children who use the internet. AHAbids does not knowingly or willingly collect or solicit personally identifiable information from or about children under the age of eighteen (18) years old consistent with and exceeding the requirements of the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act. (“COPPA”) If AHAbids discovers or are otherwise notified that we have received any such information from a child in violation of AHAbids policies or the COPPA AHAbids will immediately delete said information. If you are under the age of eighteen (18) please do not attempt to provide any personally identifiable information on the AHAbids website. If you believe that AHAbids has any information from or about a child under the age of thirteen (13) please contact us immediately by clicking on “Contact Us” and sending us an email or email us directly at support@ahabids.com and AHAbids will take immediate appropriate steps to remove such information from our files.
